NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW
I keep hearing the phrase, “No one is above the law”, being parroted like there is no tomorrow. I agree wholeheartedly providing it includes those making the statement. The Bill of Rights says: “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed,……….to be confronted with the witnesses against him……..”. If the lowliest of our criminal population is entitled to these rights, why not the POTUS?
THEY’RE AT IT AGAIN
Major General Qasem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and chief architect of Iran’s misbehavior over the past two decades was killed by a US drone air strike while he was in Iraq, not in his country of Iran but in Iraq.
Let’s look at the time line. While the proxies of Iran have been peppering US installations for months, the most recent involved some thirty rockets which killed an American contractor, wounded four servicemen and two Iraqi personnel. The US then conducts air strikes against the sources of the rocket attacks and kills some twenty-five Hezbollah fighters. Then the Iraqis lead a ‘spontaneous’ civilian attack against the US Embassy in Baghdad, Iraq, wherein they start fires and create havoc with the usual American and Israeli flag burning. Sounds familiar? The Embassy fights back and Trump sends in some extra troops plus another 650 to neighboring Kuwait, just in case. The attack on the Embassy is then called off. Unlike the Big O, Trump decides to respond in the only way they comprehend. It was on the way back to the airport that Soleimani’s caravan was slammed by a US drone that killed him.
What the fuck was he doing there in the first place? Vacationing? Sight seeing? Or up to his usual tricks? You tell me. And as expected, Trump is now being excoriated by the left wing of our political system because he did his job. Go figure. In other words, it’s okay for Soleimani to plan and direct attacks against our soldiers and those of our allies throughout the mid-east but it’s not okay to kill him. And you think that Iran is going to give up on becoming a nuclear power. No way. If any of you believe that, I have a bridge for sale.
THE RETURN OF ROCKET MAN
North Korea set off its first nuclear device on October 9, 2006. What we and China should have done was to set it off for them. Why China? Because North Korea is the illegitimate offspring of China. Without China, there would be no North Korea. Perhaps China likes it that way because North Korea will always be a thorn in our side and keep us guessing and off balance. You think? Kim Jong-un says that he wants the US to first ease off on sanctions before he does any kind of disarming. Why can’t these steps be taken simultaneously? Why does it have to be a situation of who blinks first? And why would Kim Jong-un consent to give up his nuclear power status? For sanctions relief? He doesn’t give a shit about his people. It’s an ego thing, plain and simple.
AND THEN THERE WERE NONE.
How many Democratic wannabes were vying for POTUS? I lost count. Well what do
you know? There are no blacks or Latinos running for POTUS and the media is
implying some kind of discrimination. Let’s face it. Those guys just didn’t have it. No
one told them they couldn’t run. They finally figured it out for themselves that
they didn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of ever making it.
THE MAN IN THE IVORY TOWER
Where else would he be living? I won’t mention his name so as to protect him. This
guy wants to do away with all forms of police and replace them with associations of
friends, neighbors and relatives to deal with all forms of criminal activities that abound. Guess what? He’s a college professor. What was he smoking?
