Wow!

First of the list, I saw “WOW”, a terrific production show at the Rio Hotel and Casino.  It consists of beautiful dancers, dressed scantily and wearing headdresses like very sexy showgirls, the scenery is a wonderful artistic backdrop and can be seen all around the stage. There are many great specialty acts.  The star of the show is Sylvie Sylvie, an artist that is unbelievable with a Bow and Arrow.  She will definitely thrill you with her talent.  Her husband is Vince Ponce, a great comedian and juggler. If you come to Vegas, don’t miss this show.
Second, I saw Ryan Baker a terrific singer who paid tribute to Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett and Harry Connick via a slide show. He then sang the hits of these well known singers while the slide show was on the television .
He was accompanied by Merv Harding’s 17 pc. orchestra.  WOW, a total standing ovation. This event was held at the Italian American Club, a venue that most of the Vegas artists perform at.  It was totally sold out.

The third event I attended was held at the Tuscany, a venue that most of us performers frequent several nights a week.  This particular night belongs to Kenny Davidsen and his terrific trio, Dennis Blair , bass and guitar and Dave Ramirez on drums.
Each Friday night, Kenny stars a particular singer.  This night he featured Armi Guzman, who can sing the phone book and make it sound like a symphony.  This was a tribute to the 90’s. and every singer that Armi introduced sang from this era.  What a fun night!
Last on the list, and boy was I exhausted, was Linda Woodson, a jazz singer that is currently doing a tribute to Nancy Wilson at the Flamingo Library on February 23rd.  She has a beautiful , mellow sound that makes you want to eat lots of chocolate. lol. In her other life, she is a very renowned Dermatologist.
That’s it for this week.
